The Golden Triangle Creative District (GTCD) is thrilled to announce the launch of our first annual GTCD x Still Poster Project—a creative collaboration celebrating the heart, soul, and visual story of one of Denver’s most iconic neighborhoods.
"The Clyfford Still Museum is proud to partner with the Golden Triangle Creative District on this exciting project celebrating the vibrancy and creativity of our neighborhood in the heart of Denver. As an institution dedicated to artistic vision, we are honored to help elevate the incredible creative energy that defines the Golden Triangle,” shares Joyce Tsai, Director.
Launching in Fall 2025 during Denver Arts Week, the poster project brings together the Golden Triangle Creative District and the Still, one of the district’s most celebrated cultural institutions. The result? What will be a collector-worthy art poster that represents the spirit of the neighborhood—created by Denver muralist and illustrator Joe Palec.
“The idea came out of conversations with the Still about their GTCD Partner membership,” says Carleen Clearwater, GTCD’s Board of Directors Marketing Chair. “They’ve been an incredible partner, and this project quickly grew into something much bigger than we imagined—a chance to showcase the creative pulse of the entire district.”
A First for the Triangle
Despite being home to major museums, historic landmarks, and host to hundreds of events from intimate to epic, the Golden Triangle doesn't have an official piece of merchandise for sale as a souvenir.
“We’ve got millions of visitors coming through each year, but they don't have a way to take the Triangle home with them,” says Clearwater. “We have some exciting things coming in the way of GTCD souvenirs, but this art poster will be the star of the shop. It's something for visitors and for residents, people who work here — all art lovers. It’s will be a celebration of everything that makes this place so vibrant.”
The 2025/26 art poster will be released in a variety of formats—from limited collector editions to affordable prints and public art activations—ensuring broad accessibility and reach.
“As an Artists’ Museum, the Clyfford Still Museum believes deeply in the power of creativity to connect and inspire, “ says Allie Todd, who is the Earned Revenue Manager for the Still and also serves on the Board of Directors for The GTCD. “ The GTCD x Still poster project reflects our commitment to art for all—creating new, welcoming entry points for people to engage with art in everyday life.”
The 2025-26 Poster Artist: Joe Palec
Denver-based artist Joe Palec was selected from a pool of inspiring submissions that came in from across the region. His work is known for its playful, maximalist style—rich with color, detail, and hidden gems for locals to discover. With a decade of connection to the neighborhood—working, creating, and exploring—Palec brings both technical craft and personal insight to the piece.
Majken Koczara, Head of Retail for the Still shared, "Since Clyfford Still’s work can only be exhibited at the Clyfford Still Museum, we’re always looking for ways to bring the creativity of other artists into our Shop. I’m especially excited to showcase a beautiful piece by a talented local artist—an inspiring addition that connects our visitors with the vibrant art community beyond our galleries."

A Revenue Share Model That Supports Collaboration
Our goal is for this to be a yearlong creative partnership rooted in mutual benefit. The GTCD and the Still received some crucial feedback early in the RFP process and adjusted the compensation and benefit package that resulted in the below:
The selected artist receives a $1,000 art fee
The artist will receive artist appearance fees when applicable
20% of all poster revenue goes directly to the artist
The artist also receives a 20-hour custom marketing package, donated by Kickass Marketing and Creative, to support them throughout the project
The GTCD and the Still split the remaining revenue 40/40, after production and distribution costs. For complete details about the call for artists RFP, visit this link.
“Joe’s vision ignited a tsunami of ideas for us to activate the district and literally be inclusive of all it represents,” says Clearwater. “We’re thrilled to have him join us as a collaborator—someone who’s part of the process, the events, the story.”
A Launchpad for Future Projects
The Golden Triangle Creative District is a center for civic discourse, street art, performance, public sculpture, and renowned architecture—all packed into 45 walkable blocks. What started as a single poster quickly opened the door to bigger ideas. The quality and creativity of the artist submissions sparked dozens of new project concepts for the GTCD and opportunities to partner with those artists in meaningful ways.
“This was never just about one piece of art. It’s about using art as a tool for connection, community, accessibility, and celebration,” says Clearwater. “The Golden Triangle is packed with public art, creative spaces and people, civic landmarks—and this poster is our way of bringing it all together.”
The official GTCD x Still poster 2025-26 will be released during Denver Arts Week in November 2025 and available at special events, the Clyfford Still Museum shop, and online at goldentriangleofdenver.com.
Stay tuned—and get ready to be a part of the creativity.
