    The last Friday of the month at 6-9 pm, though many businesses will be open earlier and later.

  • What to Do!

    The Final Friday Art Walk (Final Fridays) gives visitors, residents and folks who work in the Golden Triangle an after-hours opportunity to explore the many creative spaces in our special corner of Denver, including the chance to engage with the quirky, cool, and sophisticated art and creatives which define our eclectic neighborhood.

    Time:
    6-9 pm on the Final Friday of each month
    Dates: June 28, July 26, August 30, September 27
    Cost: FREE to attend!
    Where: Golden Triangle, bounded by Speer Blvd, Colfax Ave, and Lincoln St
    Concierge: Stop by our concierge table at the south end of Martin Plaza for a map and event information! Located at Acoma Street and 12th Avenue, near the cows sculpture.

    Many Golden Triangle galleries and creative spaces will be hosting artist receptions, openings, talks, collaborative and performance art throughout the year with a focus on the peak months of June, July, August, and September when the Golden Triangle is most active. Check their websites for what’s on tap each month in their respective spaces.

    Mark your calendars for our last Final Friday event of the season on September 27th! Our theme for September is Tasting Tour. Sample the neighborhood fare with a food and beverage walking tour and a reception at Broadway Market.


    Galleries:

    Colorado Photographic Arts Center @ 1070 Bannock St.
    Closed on September 27.

    Walker Fine Art @ 300 W 11th Ave, Unit A (enter on Cherokee St)
    Open 5-9 pm. View their current show, Organic Subtleties. The natural world is full of stimuli, with unending colors and shapes that exist in light and shadow, constantly changing over seasons and time. The artists in this group exhibition observe, dissect and dilute these subtleties, enhancing what may go unnoticed by a passing eye.

    William Havu Gallery @ 1040 Cherokee St.
    Open 6-8 pm. Visit the gallery to see their three current exhibitions. The Wounded Healers features paintings by Sam Scott, Megaliths & Monoliths features works by Hank Saxe, and on the mezzanine are new acquisitions from the Estate of Werner Drewes (1899-1985).


    Museums:

    Denver Art Museum – Open until 10 pm
    Untitled Final Fridays (6-10 pm) events are completely artist designed and delivered, highlighting each partner’s unique talent and vision. Experience the museum in an entirely different way, every time.

    Untitled is included in general admission. Members receive free admission to every Untitled event and all the special programming that happens inside. College students with valid ID receive 2-for-1 admission. Here’s the remaining line up:

    October 25: Invisible, featuring Laurie Lynxxe Murphy

    Clyfford Still MuseumOpen until 8 pm
    Visit the Museum during their Friday evening hours from 5 to 8 pm and enjoy $5 admission for all. Admission for youth 17 and under is always free. The museum will host a tour of the exhibition at 6:30 pm that is free with admission.

    Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative ArtOpen until 8 pm
    Enjoy $5 Final Fridays at Kirkland Museum from 5 to 8 pm on the last Friday of each month, June-September 2019.

    Explore Kirkland Museum like never before—with 3D glasses! See the colorful paintings of the museum’s namesake artist, Vance Kirkland, come alive in a whole new way while learning about what makes his dynamic use of color so special. And if you’re looking for even more fun, try taking a self-guided scavenger hunt to experience a themed tour of the galleries! Please note: Kirkland Museum limits admission to ages 13+.

    History Colorado Center – Open until 9 pm
    Visit the History Colorado Center for free admission after hours! Win prizes playing trivia in Café Rendezvous from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.


    Community:

    In addition to our fine museums and galleries, each month visitors to the Golden Triangle during Final Fridays will be directed to our pop-up creative experiences within the neighborhood. Each space will hold its own surprises for those creatively inclined… here’s the line up for September 27th:

    From 6 to 9 pm. Visit our host location, Broadway Market for happy hour pricing on drinks, 6-9 pm!

    Counterterrorism Education Learning Lab (CELL)
    Closed on September 27.

    Chairs Lady @ 321 W. 11th Ave
    Open 6-9 during Final Fridays, come join the fun! On September 27th Chairs Lady will have paper birds on hand in a rainbow of colors to inspire your design skills, including all the materials you need to complete a bird to take home. Free during Final Fridays.

    Denver Public Library – Time & location pending
    The Denver Public Library can connect you with free books, movies, music, and even free museum passes to cultural institutions around the city! Visit DPL’s mobile library and nab a free book, get a recommendation for a great fall read, and make a button featuring your favorite classic book.

    Plant Garage @ 1000 Acoma St
    Open until 9 pm, join Plant Garage for their customer appreciation party with live jazz and refreshments!

    Project HARTwork Gallery at Zephyr Real Estate Services @ 1120 Delaware St, Suite 110
    Open 5 to 9 pm. This month Project HARTwork will feature their photographers, both local and international. To coincide with our tasting tour theme, they will offer a selection of fair-trade beverages and snacks. And, Mo from The Unsteady Hand will be on-site to lead an art project.

    Sjotime Industries @ 138 W 12th Ave
    Open 6 to 9 pm. Stop by The Sjo Room by Sjotime Industries, and experience a Taste of 12th & Bannock, an evening celebrating the art, architecture, furniture and fashion of the creative businesses at 12th & Bannock! Drinks and giveaways on hand awaiting your visit!

    Golden Triangle Tasting Tours – 6-8 pm
    Join us on a free tour as we taste our way through the Golden Triangle! Enjoy small bites and special drink pricing on a two hour walking and tasting tour to restaurants around the Golden Triangle!  Space is limited, register now at the tour links below. Choose from one of two tours:

    A Taste of the Triangle Tour #1 will stop at:

    Golden Triangle Public Art Walking Tour – 6-7 pm
    Walking tours are a great way to discover (or re-discover) a neighborhood! On September 27th we will partner with Denver Arts & Venues for this tour, which will cover a broad array of contemporary public artworks near the Denver Art Museum, Denver Public Library, and History Colorado. The tour will focus on the contemporary works in the Golden Triangle Creative District, from an oversized broom to an abstract sculpture. Sign up now.

    Tours will meet up at the south end of Martin Plaza (Acoma St & 12th Ave) at 5:45 pm. Tours will depart at 6 pm and end at our September host location, Broadway Market. Space is limited to the first 20 participants.

    Everyone who lives in the Golden Triangle Creative District knows the best way to get around the neighborhood is on foot – or check out a B-Cycle!

  • Parking

    “Oh no – I’m going into the ‘city!’ Where do I park???”  Check out lots of options here.

    Bicycling, walking and public transit is encouraged.  With just a simple ride up the 16th Mall Free Shuttle from Union Station to Civic Center and a stroll through Civic Center Park, you can begin to explore what’s happening for Final Fridays!
